Our primary focus is that students are learning and achieving to their best potential. At Ronald Harvey, our grade three and six Achievement Test results are consistently high and well above the Provincial results. Other ways that indicate students' performance and opportunities for students to extend their learning are: Math Lab/Math Initiatives, Outcomes-Based Report Cards, Balanced Literacy, Animated Literacy, Early Literacy Support, Spell-a-thons, Enrichment Resource, Speech Arts, Historical Fair, Math Fair, Enriched Library Program, Computer Lab, Mobile Laptop Labs, Integrated Technology, Daily Physical Education (geared towards creating a well rounded athlete), French as a Second Language, Accelerated Reading Program (an adaptive testing program that tests our students' reading comprehension based on books they've read), Math Program (Web-based), Alberta Initiative for School Improvement (AISI) project focusing on Mathematics and Scholastic Book Fairs.

At Ronald Harvey we attempt to create a well rounded athlete through our Daily Physical Education Program. We also have other initiatives in place to allow students to find their life-long activities: Volleyball, Daily Phys. Technology continues to be a focus at Ronald Harvey. Students continue to enjoy the benefits of the staff technology mentorship program. The students' skills are enriched through computer club, networking with other schools, use of a wide variety of software and the Internet. The students enjoy the benefits of technology integrated into all core subject areas and are eager to share with peers, parents and staff. Some of the technology at Ronald Harvey include Smartboards in all classrooms, Digital Cameras, Modern Computer Lab, Portable wireless labs, WiFi coverage in-building, Classroom Computers, Library Research Computer Pod, Alberta Supernet attached, Student-run closed-circuit TV station viewable from all classrooms and a Portable iPod Lab.
