Born in Northern Ireland, Ronald Harvey moved to Toronto in 1946 and then to St. Albert in 1955. An advocate for a Protestant school system in St. Albert, Mr. Harvey was elected chair of the division's founding board, a position he held for 10 of his 12 years in office. He was also mayor St. Albert from 1977 to 1980. Mr. Harvey passed away in 2003.
